Today is the final day of VBS, and I want to celebrate what God has been doing this week. Throughout this week, over 250 kids have been exploring one life-changing question: “Who is Jesus to me?” And yesterday, dozens of children made the eternity-altering decision to place their faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord. We are incredibly grateful for your prayers throughout the week and for the many, many volunteers who invested their time, energy, and love to make VBS possible. Thank you for helping us create an environment where kids could encounter Jesus in a meaningful way. This Sunday, we'll continue our journey through the book of Acts as we look at Stephen, one of those deacons we talked about last week, being confronted by the religious leaders. Growth is exciting — until it starts creating problems. This Sunday, we'll be in Acts 6, where the early church faces one of its first major challenges. As more people come to faith, needs begin slipping through the cracks, tensions rise, and the apostles are forced to answer an important question: How does a growing church stay healthy without losing sight of its mission? If you've ever felt frustrated with the church or wondered if you have a part to play, this passage has something to say to you. We'll find that God never intended for ministry to be carried by a few professionals, but by an entire church empowered by the Holy Spirit. Also, VBS begins Monday!
