TCC Students, don't miss this amazing adventure (and bragging rights after!) Have you ever wanted to experience something new in God’s amazing creation? Have you ever wondered what it is like to survive (and even thrive!) for a few days, using only the things you can carry on your back? Have you ever wondered what your body and mind and soul are capable of, if you only pushed a little bit? Then maybe this is the trip for you!


It’s open to everyone interested, even if you've never backpacked before. You need to be in reasonably good shape and willing to rough it a bit… But you get to do and see things that the average person misses, and you will remember this trip for the rest of your life!


COST:

$50/person (Bring extra money for one meal on the road.)

  • Meet at TCC at 8:15am on Saturday, September 14. Yeah, it’s early, but it’s an hour and 40 minutes to the trailhead, so we want to get going!
  • Bring a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, snacks , and a day pack to carry your stuff.
  • Wear good trail/hiking shoes or boots, layers of clothing depending on the weather, and an optional hat.
  • Bring a swimsuit/shorts and maybe a small towel if you want to get in the lakes… Always a good idea!
  • We will shoot to be back around 4:30pm. Students can text with any time updates.
  • Sign up online early ($5 cost) so we can arrange enough transportation.
  • You will need to fill out a release form specific to this event (available above)
  • Other adults and parents can check with John if they are interested in joining us… It might work!
